The organisers of the popular Crondall Supersprint Triathlon have announced that the 2009 event, which will take place on Sunday 7th June, will be raising charitable funds for Diabetes UK.

The Triathlon will follow the format of previous years, starting with a 400 Metre swim at Lord Wandsworth College, followed by a 12 mile bike ride through Lower Froyle, Bentley and Well and the finishing in Crondall with a three mile run around the village.

Around 100 competitors of all standards are expected to take part. The Crondall Triathlon has become a popular fixture in the village's calendar with many families and friends attending, taking the opportunity to support the competitors while enjoy a party atmosphere at the Plume of Feathers pub and the post-event BBQ.
